Saboon Ghar/Laurel Soap
Saboon ghar or saboon baladi is known as Aleppo or Laurel soap in the West. These soaps are made with olive oil and laurel berry oil and made with the traditional hot process technique that is still used today in Lebanon and Palestine. Each bar contains about 12% laurel berry oil. This batch is special because the olive oil was infused for 6 months with dried chamomile and sage from the farm! The stamp in Arabic reads, “Laurel Soap, natural and handmade.” My initials are in the center.
Ingredients: saponified olive oil infused with chamomile and sage, laurel berry oil (12%).
